Intetics to Chair Eastern Europe Chapter of International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP)

Intetics and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), two of IAOP Corporate Members, have joined forces to launch a new IAOP Eastern Europe Chapter with the intent to raise awareness of this region as an outsourcing destination and promote the industry and profession. Initially the Chapter is based in Ukraine and Poland, with the plans to expand to other countries within Eastern Europe. As part of its educational effort, the Chapter will be hosting training and certification programs on a periodic basis to support professional development of the regional outsourcing workforce. It will also encourage constructive dialogue and cooperation between customers, providers, advisors, and agencies with the aim of outsourcing market development. The inaugural meeting of the IAOP Eastern Europe Chapter with featured presentations by Intetics and PwC will be held on December 2, 2009 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

This year Intetics participated in two international conferences: Software Quality Assurance Days 2009 held in St.-Petersburg, Russia and Software Engineering Forum 2009 which took place in Minsk, Belarus. Our company was represented by Vitaly Streluk (Software Engineer), Sergey Revko (Senior Software Engineer), and Sergei Terekhov (Director Quality Assurance/Release Manager). They delivered the following presentations: "Practical Recommendations for Automated Testing" and "Agile Testing Process". The first one explains the essence of automated testing, highlights its mail advantages, discusses how to create the right infrastructure for test development and gives the basic rules of object-oriented testing. Intetics Secures a New Contract

Intetics has recently started a new engagement with a Belgian-based client, a major pan-European offset printing converter in paper, board and micro-flute packaging as well as a supplier of packaging solutions and machines. We have successfully delivered a Flex Development Environment project with very positive feedback, which served as a basis for launching a new Dashboard Framework project. Built upon our unique Offshore Dedicated Team™ delivery model, the project involves three IT specialists so far. Both sides are satisfied with the results achieved and expect cooperation to grow and deepen.

Outsourcing partnership of Intetics and IMPAQ has been selected as the semi-finalist of the Outsourcing Excellence awards, dubbed as "Oscars of Outsourcing". There are several prominent companies among this year contest winners and participants, including Sun Microsystems, Hewitt Associates, Perot Systems, IBM and Accenture. The contest is held under the Outsourcing Center's annual awards program, sponsored by Everest Group and Forbes. It recognizes the world's best outsourcing relationships where both parties demonstrate commitment to the best practices, and continually create mutually beneficial outcomes. The selection process is very strict but objective: the nomination form questions are answered jointly by the buyer and service provider, and the submitted information as well as information obtained from the buyer telephone interview is further reviewed by an independent judging panel.

IAOP Chicago Chapter Meeting

The last quarterly meeting of the IAOP Chicago Chapter was held on January 22, 2009 at DePaul University in downtown Chicago. The meeting was attended by over 55 outsourcing professionals involved in outsourcing as customers, providers and advisors. The main themes on the agenda were the lifecycle of a deal and overview of emerging outsourcing locations. Alex Golod, Managing Partner of Intetics Co., delivered presentation: "Ukraine: more than another outsourcing destination". It highlighted the latest social and economic trends in the country, discussed why Ukraine is becoming a hot outsourcing destination based on its industry growth, its access to a skilled well educated talent pool, and the government support. It was followed by a case study from Doug Grimsted, CEO of Aginity, explaining why they have chosen Ukraine for their complex IT projects, and how they have effectively outsourced work to Intetics in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The Web Marketing Association (WMA), an organization devoted to setting a high standard for Internet marketing and corporate Web site development, announced it has named Intetics and Adorama Camera Inc. as 2008 WebAward recipients. Adorama Camera is one of the largest photo retail and mail order suppliers in the US. Alex Golod, Intetics´ Managing Partner, has recently given a three-part interview to Michael Muth, Managing Director of GATA, a Chicago-based international business development consultancy.
In part one of the interview, Golod focuses primarily on the evolution of Intetics, the services it provides and the areas of specialization. He reveals what it takes to guarantee high standards of quality in the outsourcing market and withstand Asian competition.
In the second part he discusses standard ways of intellectual property protection practiced by Intetics, makes an overview of their stuff qualification and dwells upon the reasons of establishing the company´s development centre in Kharkiv, Ukraine and moving their headquarters to Chicago.

The IEEE Computer Magazine has recently published an article "The Changing World of Outsourcing" by Neal Leavitt, the president of LeavittCommunication, a California-based international marketing communications company. The article dwells upon the modern trends in the outsourcing industry and refers to the experience of Intetics as a global software development company which has been operating in the IT market for a period of 12 years.
The author shares his understanding of the reasons why the volume of offshore outsourcing has increased significantly since 1990s and describes the most important changes which have occurred in this period. He also mentions new outsourcing destinations which are now actively competing with India and provides a detailed analysis of strong and weak points of partnering with IT-providers in each of the country. An important topic covered in the article is consolidation of offshore providers in order to stay competitive in the fast growing outsourcing market. Intetics participated in the Orbit-iEX event that was held at Exhibition Center Zurich on May 22-25, 2007. Orbit-iEX is the Swiss business platform for information and communication technology. The core of the event were hardware, software, and brainware – the basic elements of the industry. Among the participants were such companies as 3Com (Switzerland), Canon (Switzerland), Check Point Software, Samsung Cameras, and other global IT players. One of Intetics business development managers co-hosted the Offshoring: Success Factors for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises seminar to discuss the issues of IT outsourcing such as client-vendor relations, evaluation of potential vendors, problems of offshoring, and quality assurance and delivery.

Intetics participated in CeBIT 2007, the world´s largest digital IT and telecommunications solutions trade fair that took place on March 15-21, 2007 in Hanover, Germany. Three of our employees have become winners of the second annual Bench Games held by BrainBench in an effort to assess global IT skills. Overall, twelve Intetics' employees got into World Top 50 in various technology disciplines including Project Management, .NET, Java, PHP, HTML, and Software Testing.
